Residency Program Director

Sibyl Salisbury, MSN, ANP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Sibyl Salisbury practices at NeighborHealth, South End and is the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner Residency Program Director. The daughter of a nurse, Sibyl grew up interested in nursing and a career in health care. She has a BS in Zoology from the University of Rhode Island and was an EMT during college. She obtained her BSN and MS in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2010, graduating in the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau and as the recipient of the Adele Corkum alumni award. Sibyl is dually boarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as an Adult NP and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Sibyl devoted her professional career to working with at-risk or underserved populations. She trained at the Lynn Community Health Center and the Elder Service Plan of the North Shore PACE program. After graduation, she worked with incarcerated males in the Massachusetts Department of Corrections and spent five years practicing with at-risk frail older adults in the PACE program. Since 2017 she has been providing general psychiatry services in community health centers, first at the Whittier Street Health Center and now the South End Community Health Center. Sibyl is a 2021 recipient of the DSRIP Statewide Investments Student Loan Repayment Program, sponsored by the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers.

Sibyl values teamwork, interdisciplinary integrated care, and brings humor to the learning experience. She was a teaching assistant at the MGH IHP in medical-surgical nursing skills, pharmacology, and the online coursework of the BSN program. She has four years precepting experience and is excited to participate in the development of new nurse practitioners through this residency program.
