What is the DAISY Award?
A meaningful recognition program honoring licensed nurses and nurse practitioners for extraordinary care.
Why was it created?
Established by the family of J. Patrick Barnes who died from complications of ITP in 1999. After Pat died, the family felt compelled to say, “thank you!” to nurses in a very personal way./su_spoiler]

Who can be nominated?

How are honorees selected?
Our internal DAISY Committee will review nominations and choose honorees who meet the criteria.
When will the award be presented?
Twice per year. The first presentation will be in Fall 2025 (exact date TBD).
