NeighborHealth Recognized Nationally for Quality Prevention and Patient-Centered Care for Excellence in Community Health Care
Five HRSA quality awards highlight NeighborHealth’s leadership in prevention, early detection, diabetes care, and cancer screening across the communities it serves.
BOSTON, MA (October 5, 2026) – NeighborHealth, Massachusetts’ largest community-based primary care health system, has once again been recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in 2026 with five distinguished quality awards, including recognition for leadership in diabetes care, cancer detection and prevention of chronic disease. These national recognitions reflect NeighborHealth’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care and improving health outcomes for the communities it serves.

The 2026 badges include:
- The Health Center Quality Leader (HCQL) Silver Badge, which demonstrates that NeighborHealth exceeds overall national benchmarks in multiple areas of care
- The National Quality Leader – Cancer Screening Badge, for detection and prevention of cancers such as cervical, breast and colorectal – an honor awarded to only three health centers in Massachusetts
- The National Quality Leader – Diabetes Health Badge, recognizing excellence in diabetes prevention through screenings and lifestyle coaching, as well as disease management to reduce risk of long-term complications – an honor awarded to only two health centers in Massachusetts
- The Health Center Program – Preventive Health Badge, for early prevention and detection of chronic diseases like cancer, heart disease, obesity, diabetes and mental illness, awarded to only two health centers in Massachusetts
- The National Quality Leader – Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality, for advancing telehealth and online access to health information and coordinated healthcare services.
