NeighborHealth Celebrates Health, Wellness, and Community at South End Health Fair

Families enjoy fun activities, wellness resources, and preventative care in South End

BOSTON, MA (October 24, 2025)Saúde do Vizinho hosted its first-ever South End Feira de Saúde Familiar de Outono on Saturday, October 18 at Blackstone Square Park on Washington Street, bringing together families, patients, and community members for a day full of seasonal fun and preventive care services.

The Health Fair offered free flu and COVID-19 vaccines, educational resource booths, and hands-on activities including pumpkin decorating, face painting, and music designed to engage attendees of all ages while fostering community wellness. Attendees also enjoyed healthy snacks donated by Farmer’s Fridge and local supermarkets.

“Our Fall Family Health Fair makes preventative care more accessible and fun for our community,” said Courtney Senechal, Director of Nursing at NeighborHealth. “We want families to feel supported and informed when it comes to their health, and this fair is a great opportunity to connect in a more personal way. Especially this time of year, we want to be sure our community is equipped to prevent seasonal viruses like flu and stay healthy into the winter.”

NeighborHealth volunteers, staff and community partners connected with visitors, offering families opportunities to learn more about services and resources available year-round from health educators, behavioral health clinicians, and community outreach teams. The event also provided opportunities for new patients to connect directly with staff and explore NeighborHealth’s broad network of family care, radiology, dental, recovery, older adult and behavioral health programs.

NeighborHealth plans to continue to support healthier, more connected communities across Boston through education, prevention and care.

This year’s health fairs are made possible thanks to the generosity of the following sponsors: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Boston Medical Center, Bunker Hill Community College, Quest Diagnostics, Cataldo Ambulance Service, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, Rockland Trust, Boston Public Health Commission, Farmer’s Fridge, Boston Children’s Hospital, Flour Bakery + Café, Santander, Wegmans, Stop and Compare Supermarket, Costco, Whole Foods, Shaw’s Supermarket, Chocolaffee Home of Maninuts, Tropical Foods, and Home Depot.
